Xmas 20

Everyone locked the hell down but we’re Tier 2, so came here:

Langdale campsite deserted (and  waterlogged) oh and windy.

Day 1 Harrison’s Stickle

Day 2 Bowfell, Rossett Pike, Stake Pass

Descending Bow Fell via the Bob Graham ‘route’ to Angle Tarn
.  . oh and we’re camping in the ODG Hotel now

Day 3 Pike o’ Blisco in boots which made for dry & warm but painful feet.

Day 4 Langdale Horseshoe: ODG, Stickle Tarn, Thunacar Knott, missed Esk Hause, Ore Gap, Bow Fell, Crinkle Crags, Pike o’ Blisco, ODG. 20km & 1440m ~ 5hrs

Glaramara
Langdale Pikes
Dropping south off Bow Fell

Day 5 shit-out (we don’t mind bad weather but this? Ugh), so high street mountaineering.

Day 6 Christmas Eve: Base Brown, Green Gable, Great Gable, ground deep-frozen in one night.

Windy Gap
Returning north to Green Gable, Base Brown beyond

Day 7 Christmas Day: Blencathra via Hall’s Fell Ridge

Day 8 Boxing Day: short one from the house

Day 9 Great Dodd

Product testing for HH (hence gopro)

Day 10 Little Town, Maiden Moor, High Spy, Dale Head, Hindscarth, Scope End

Cat Bells and Skiddaw
Inversion over Buttermere

Day 11 Late start up St Sunday & down Black Crag

Fairfield & Dollywagon
Ullswater
Leaving St Sunday summit
Mebs worth a zoom

Day 12 Hartsop, The Knott, High Street, Thornthwaite Crag, Stoney Cove Pike, St Raven’s Edge, Red Screes, Dove Crag ~ 22km 1600m ascent

New Year’s Eve. Fears for Tiers came true, woke up to tier 4 here and 3 at home so had to end our stay today and head home. Nipped up Blencathra on the way as our local (to us) exercise.
