Monday 31st May: Dow – C Ordinary; trainers, tricams, 3 quickdraws and handful of nuts and 30m rope. Good but not as good as Corvus. From Turner Hall via Caw, White Pike, White Maiden then Goat Hawes & Seathwaite Tarn (dip) after.
Tuesday 1st June: Bowfell – Ledge and Groove VD; 40m rope & approach shoes.
Wednesday 2nd June: Gimmer – Asterisk VS4b, D Route S4a, A Route S4a. Beautiful summer day, only 1 other team on the crag.
Thursday 3rd June: Pavey Ark, Thunacarr Knott, Harrison’s, Pike of Stickle, Rossett Pike, Bowfell, Esk Pike , with backpacking sack intending to camp Scafell (2 day BG recce but got sick of clag and bailed back to lovely Langdale).
Friday 4th June: Raven – Bilberry Buttress VS4c, Odin VS4c.
Saturday 5th June: Pavey Ark – Rectangular Slab VS4c, bailed on the 5a crack, spent, after much struggle. Dip in the tarn after.
Sunday 6th June: Bowfell – Bowfell Buttress HS4b. Nadir Khan filming Standing on the shoulders of giants (Abraham Brothers) with Lakes Adventure.
