Torridon 24th July 21

Arrived just before Kinlochewe about 23:00 after easy driving via Inverness. Next day, Northern Pinnacles Liatach. Found them looser than expected after 2 guidebooks played down their reputation, actually wouldn’t recommend this route in summer

Poolewe 25th July 21

Walked in to Carnmore with backpacking & climbing gear, swam in loch & camped but bailed the climbing, not feeling 11 pitch VS in clag. Very hot on walk in/walk out clegs bad. Midges so bad you could hear them raining on the fly and i didn’t realise they drone, also they made it into the midge-proof inner.

Then some runs & climbing Jetty Crag and a visit to the Russian Arctic Convoy Museum, where we learnt nothing till i read about it on the internet, incredible effort.
